In the retail box you find the Frio CPU cooler, an additional 120mm fan, a back-plate and an accessory box. (Bag A: LGA1366; Bag B LGA1156; Bag C: LGA775; bag D: AM2/AM2+/AM3) and another bag with the soft mounts for the second cooler fan and the cooling paste. | To install the additional second fan, take out ant-vibration soft mounts and slip the thicker base into the hole of the fan holder frame. |
Step 3 | Step 4 |
| |
Put the 120mm fan on the top of the fan frame and pull the soft mounts and move them into the holes in the corners of the fan. Make sure each soft mount is holding the fan. Installation of the second fan is done. | Loosen and remove both the retention module and back plate from the front side of the motherboard, if one had been preinstalled. |
Step 5 | Step 6 |
| |
Fasten the AMD clip to pre-drilled screw holes in the base of the Frio with a screw driver. Make sure it is fasten tightly. | Place one white washer on each bolt and remove the protective cover from the base of the Frio. |
Step 7 | Step 8 |
| |
Apply Thermaltake grease onto the CPU. | Place Frio onto the motherboard and make sure the exhausted flow fan is on I/O device side |
Step 9 | Step 10 |
| |
Now flip the motherboard over and place it on top of the Frio retention clip. Put the back-plate and nuts onto the back side of the motherboard. | Fasten the back-plate to motherboard with a screw driver. Make sure it is fasten tightly to the motherboard. Installation of Frio for AMD CPU is done. |

Thermaltake's Frio overall is an excellent cooler. The price is well within reason even for someone on a tight budget. Thermaltake has included their variable fan control knobs on both fans to allow complete control. In the end, Thermaltakes Frio has surpassed my expectations. |

Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : LAN OC Date : 2010/07/27 | A reasonable price tag combined with overclocking capabilities make the Thermaltake Frio quite an attractive cooler. Physically, it's a pretty large model, which may cause restrictions in some cases. That being said, I'm a fan of it's facade as well as it's design. |

Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : Vortez Hardware Date : 2010/07/22 | The Frio is an excellent cooler and so far I haven't really touched on its best aspect, its price. At around £40, it provides performance that's on par or slightly trailing the best air coolers out there, and considering the inclusion of the two fans, the Frio looks more of a bargain. |

Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : HardwareCanucks Date : 2010/07/21 | Thermaltake’s Frio is simply one of the best CPU coolers available on the market today. Its two included fans push it above and beyond products that are much, much more expensive and because of the speed adjustability, it is infinitely adaptable to suite your needs. |

The Thermaltake Frio manages to perform right up there with the best in its class and still be affordable for the average person or overclocking mad man. All in all, the Frio is a serious cooler from Thermaltake and a pleasure to test.
Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : CTTL Date : 2010/07/20 | The Thermaltake cooler company missed a number of years and finally is back to the market with a competitive product. Hereby congratulate the producers made a great CPU cooler and I have to give him the award "Recommended for 220W, which deserves only the most powerful cooler in the world. |
| Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : bit-tech Date : 2010/07/16 | Even with one low-speed fan attached, the Thermaltake Frio managed to provide better cooling than the excellent Titan Fenrir (with its fan at low speed) on both Intel sockets. Better still, for overclockers who can handle the noise, the Frio was the best cooler we’ve seen for LGA1366 with both fans at high speed. |
| | Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : KitGuru Date : 2010/07/01 | With slightly better fan selection this product would have scored even higher than it did today, however I still highly recommend it, because for under £40 you really aren’t going to get a better air cooler. |
| | Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : PC Tuner Date : 2010/06/29 | This is essential when you make products that aim to satisfy the most demanding users, who go in search of maximum performance achievable in terms of overclocking and therefore must have adequate heat dissipation. The package designed by Thermaltake for its product is very good as always and it is not difficult to see in it the clear guidelines for use in overclocking heatsink. |
| | Frio P/N:CLP0564 | Reviewed by : TECHGAGE Date : 2010/06/28 | The FRIO certainly deserves an Editor's Choice award based on the merit that it is an overall excellent package. Performance is top notch and the bracket design is simple and not wasteful. Thermaltake did its homework here and it shows in every aspect. I would strongly suggest that you take a hard look at the FRIO if you are in the market, especially if you have concerns for mounting space. You will not be disappointed. |
